Gino Spinelli joined the firm in 2013. His practice with the firm is focused primarily in the areas of contract and tort litigation, premises liability, insurance claims, employment disputes, construction litigation and commercial disputes. Prior to joining Davids & Cohen, Mr. Spinelli practiced at the firm of Domestico, Lane & McNamara, LLP in Framingham, Massachusetts where he focused his practice in the areas of business law, commercial litigation, tort litigation and construction/surety law and litigation. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and the United States District Court for the Districts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Mr. Spinelli received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College (B.A., 2000) and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School (J.D., 2006), where he was the Lead Articles Editor for the Journal of High Technology Law.
Mr. Spinelli has twice lectured at a seminar entitled "The Fundamentals of Construction Contracts in Massachusetts" for Lorman Educational Services. He co-authored articles entitled Risks and Rewards for Contractors Who Build Green in Massachusetts and Prequalification: An Inside Look at Critical Issues for Massachusetts Public Construction Projects, both which were published in Building Massachusetts, a publication of Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc. He also co-authored two chapters pertaining to construction contracts for a Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education book entitled Standard Form Construction Contract Documents. Mr. Spinelli is a member of the Massachusetts Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors, where he is the Chairman of the Young Leaders Council Committee. He is also a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and the Massachusetts Chapter of the United States Green Building Council. Mr. Spinelli is a former Committee Member of the Town of Hopkinton Sustainable Green Committee. He also volunteers as an alumni interviewer for Dartmouth College.
In 2015, Mr. Spinelli was recognized as a Rising Star in the Super Lawyers edition of Boston Magazine, a distinction awarded to the top 2.5% of lawyers in Massachusetts with similar experience.
